“The people at AppLabs realize that what we need is more than just testing expertise. It is an organization we can work with which understands our business, the way we work and can provide a service that adds value to our organization.”
Define quality to match your needs.
The trick about producing useful applications is not in creating applications that are 100% perfect from every perspective. Applications that have no defects what so ever from all for paradigms - critical, major, minor or cosmetic is the goal; but does this fervor make your testing and development a never-ending process? Does this negatively impact your business commitments? In short though producing every application that is 100% from every viewpoint is ideal; but are you sure your business demands it this way?
Quality strategy is something that should be approached both from a premeditated and tactical perspective and your business strategy should form the foundation for your quality strategy.
While determining your approach for quality strategy there are a few areas where your application needs to be 100% and anything short of this could prove fatal. These applications generally constitute business critical applications, customer facing applications, compliance and Financial.
The quality strategy for applications that do not fall in the aforementioned category but have more to do with internal business applications is something for the enterprise to determine and this could vary from enterprise to enterprise.
