There is more to a WLAN implementation than just the technical issues. Although the procurement and installation of the WLAN infrastructure may be the responsibility of the Network Manager, it is the IT Director or CIO who is accountable for maintaining business continuity during and after the rollout.
Low level installation and network testing may provide confidence that the equipment used to build the WLAN infrastructure is operating within its defined technical parameters, but this is not a guarantee of acceptable end-to-end business availability.
