QA and Testing Support Services for a Policy Management Application (Insurance)

The client is based out of Rhode Island and a leading insurance company for commercial and industrial property. The client works on a complicated policy management application model. In this model, all the individual projects within the policy manage their defects by using different methods and tools. Client faced major problem in establishing a centralized Defect Management System. The business model involved intricacies like multiple application projects to be involved and integrated at a single point to achieve the end business goal.

AppLabs constructed a test program to cover the functionality and integrations of the new policy and invoicing applications and its integrations with other already existing applications it would interact with. AppLabs provided the client with various services including core testing services, tools and automation, consulting services, User Acceptance Testing, and used various testing tools such as, AppLabs custom Test Data Management tool, HP QTP, and custom test harnesses to interact with the EXTJS code and QTP. An on-shore/off-shore model worked closely with the business users and development teams to determine most effective testing methods to automatically validate values when running regression tests so that the maximum test effort could be applied to new features being introduced into the system over time. A data management framework was assembled to allow the creation and management of the large amount of data that needed to be implemented into the various policy systems to simulate the business environment. Through its focused approach and innovative solutions, AppLabs has supported client with better defect tracking system and improved test management.
