"AppLabs has provided an outstanding service over the last two years. Polycom has increased the number of certified partners by 100% in this time, which has had a positive impact on the business’ bottom line."
The salient phases of our methodology include - ‘Discover’, ‘Plan’, ‘Design’, and Execute, Analyze & Report’ with clear deliverables and activities as detailed below -
AppLabs Test Tool Competency
Investing in testing software can be an expensive process, but costs nothing compared to poor software quality that leads to user dissatisfaction, as well as increased development and maintenance expenditure. AppLabs appreciates the fact that ensuring overall software quality requires a variety of tools to provide an overall picture and to appropriately control risks.
We have now for a decade been working with several commercially available performance testing tools like LoadRunner, WebLoad, QALoad, SilkPerformer, etc.
In addition to the above, our expertise and experience with the open source tool Jmeter has enabled us to develop a customized version, AppMeter, which is currently being used for a number of projects and has proven to be enhancing the value in the services rendered. AppMeter offers powerful, realistic load tests for thousands of users running business scenarios across a broad range of enterprise application environments, helping them zero in on bottlenecks, and then providing practical diagnostics and solutions to resolve performance issues.
Load Testing
AppLabs is a pioneer in load testing. Our load testing services have ensured scalability and verified the performance of applications for many of our customers across multiple industries around the world. Assessing application behavior under load is imperative and needs to be explored and improved as appropriate.
AppLabs’ comprehensive load testing initiative helps customers evaluate the hardware and application with respect to performance and volume targets. It also measures and validates end user experience of the tested service. A real-time matching load testing scenario to test the application and hardware is crucial and AppLabs’ effective requirements and planning process helps in a well-defined scenario and testing process to suit the needs and objectives of customers. Customer driven performance benchmarks are compared and suggestions for improvements are provided to achieve desired levels of performance.
Our load testing offering evaluates the complexity of scripts and distributes the load to generators physically located in Santa Clara,CA, Lindon, UT, Dallas, TX, Sussex, UK, Scranton, PA and Hyderabad, India.
All the locations have a fully functional datacenter with Lindon lab in specific catering to enterprise-class equipment – vendor-independent coverage, with a state-of-the-art operational network with secure VLAN capabilities, centralized back-up/recovery services, ability to receive additional customer owned or leased hardware items as well as a 24 x7 operational lab.
AppLabs also provides a secured URL to customers where information about the progress of the load testing can be viewed. Real-time counters such as load size, throughput, errors, and page timers can all be viewed by the customer during the test.
Stress Testing:
Stress means sustenance of the tested application and hardware against the applied stress in terms of the user load. The stress applied on the application in terms of user load could be beyond its expected limit, until a breaking point is reached. This factor brings up all the problems with respect to an application, hardware, and the maximum load that the application can sustain. AppLabs is again the leader in this form of testing and has several referable and repeat customers because of its robust methodology for stress testing.
