Hyderabad, India: AppLabs, the world’s largest software testing and quality management company today announced that, Shivaramakrishna Nuthi, a Business Analyst at AppLabs will speak at the plenary of STeP-IN SUMMIT 2011 to be held in Bangalore on 17th February 2011. He will be presenting on ‘The Art and Science of Testing Trading Platforms’.

More than ever before, the requirement for testing trading platforms is assuming huge significance. This happens particularly in the context of stock exchanges getting more and more complex due to the rapid changes in the technology, new product innovations, investor trading strategies and reduction in settlement cycles. Added to it is the huge money traded every day, resulting in a highly pressurized business environment where technology is 100% business critical. To meet various challenges like increased volumes, speedy execution, effective surveillance to safeguard investor and market interest, the technology must be flawless, and for the same reason a rigorous testing is mandatory.

The presentation will highlight the challenges involved in testing trading platforms and will propose several test methodologies and an approach for surmounting these challenges. The presentation will further discuss an effective scenario-based testing approach for building real time test scenarios. It juxtaposes the same against the conventional test approach bringing out the benefits of implementing a scenario-based testing.

The speaker will also discuss high level test governance / test management requirements and will elaborate on various other forms of testing that are essential to affirm the correct and reliable functioning of a trading application.
