Ralph Decker is head of the global performance services technology practice at AppLabs, the world’s largest software testing and quality management company. Ralph is an experienced IT development, testing, and deployment professional. Ralph has in-depth knowledge of Test Process Review and building test process improvement strategies for large organizations in the public and private sectors. Ralph has expertise advising business and IT directors to define, plan, and deliver quality assurance testing across a wide range of industry sectors. He is able to deliver tactical and strategic action plans to ensure continuous improvement of the quality assurance and testing capabilities of an organization.

As a consulting director of quality assurance for a large financial organization, Ralph defined and implemented release acceptance criteria, testing policies and procedures, best practices, product status and testing metrics, methodologies for counting and estimating defects, deployment guidelines, and post deployment verification strategies. In less than one year Ralph was able to take a project which was several years late to completion and successful deployment while moving the organization Quality Assurance and Test Team from a Testing Maturity Level 1 to level 2.

Ralph is regarded by his peers as a teacher and mentor. He is a technical thought leader and an accomplished speaker.

Prior to working at AppLabs Ralph worked for KeyLabs (AppLabs acquired KeyLabs in April, 2005) and Corel, Novell and WordPerfect in various roles. Ralph Graduated from Brigham Young University in 1989.
