Test Lead - Mainframe

Job Type – Full Time

Base Location – Winnipeg, Canada

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all System Integration Testing activities
  • Review requirements and document ambiguities
  • Evaluate and identify the scope and deliverables of a project's test effort
  • Prepare the test plan, test strategy, risk plan and obtain approval from the client
  • Review the test cases written by test engineers.
  • Sometimes participate and execute tests
  • Submit daily and weekly status reports to the client
  • Run regular meetings with client's business team and technical architects to understand the project requirements and ensure proper testing
  • Will be responsible for forming and training (remotely) the offshore team working with the offshore Delivery head
  • Re-testing of bug fixes when required
  • Plan and schedule the most effective use of resources, both human and non-human such as testers, testing environments and testing tools to aid the testing process

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in working with databases (preferably DB2) and good knowledge on RDBMS concepts
  • Mainframe experience (CICS)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum Experience 5+ years of testing experience
  • Excellent communication

Desirable Skills & Experience

5 to 8 years of experience

Education & Qualification

Bachelor of Engineering
