Performance Test Specialists
Job Type – Permanent
Base Location – UK Wide – our Consultants work on a client’s projects throughout the UK, therefore the location of the work will vary and a willingness to travel, working away from home where necessary, is essential.
Roles & Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities are to analyze the systems to determine what tests are required, decide which of those tests should be automated, and design, build, and document and execute the tests effectively.
At a Senior Level, responsibilities include setting the scope and objectives for the Test Stage and producing the Test Plan.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Must have a minimum of 2 years' testing experience and be able to analyse test requirements and design and execute tests
- You will be able to develop performance tests using one or more of the various performance testing tools currently available
For more Senior positions:
- Must have several years’ performance testing experience and be able to devise strategies for test automation
- Must have a strong technical background and be familiar with a variety of systems architectures
- Must be able to take a lead role on performance testing projects, and will typically be trained to a 'product specialist' level
Desirable Skills & Experience
Experience of working in within Financial Services, Banking or Insurance industry is desirable.
Education & Qualification
Candidates will ideally:
- Have recognized certifications in at least one automated test tool
- Be educated to degree level
- Be certified in ISEB Software Testing at Foundation level or above
