Dear Friends:
This is a special time in our company’s history as we celebrate our 10th anniversary.
This April marks 10 years since AppLabs’ inception. Incorporated in April 2001, AppLabs has grown from a three person outfit in a shared office space in Philadelphia, USA, to its current size with 2,500 employees in the US, UK, and India. What has not changed at AppLabs over the years is our commitment to delighting our customers with our thought leadership and innovative solutions.
It was ten years back when AppLabs decided to take the road less traveled - separate testing from development. Today I have no doubt in my mind that this strategy has paid-off not just for us but for our customers as well.
Without question, AppLabs has passed through its share of twists and turns before emerging as the undisputed leader in independent testing. Our customers see us as an innovative service provider that brings thought leadership to its delivery activities and we recognize the importance of the work entrusted to us by our customers.
AppLabs has a lot going for it as we enter into our 11th year as a company. We offer every possible type of software testing service, both as standalone, or all of it wrapped under a TCoE umbrella, with an emphasis on governance, metrics, managed services, and ROI. These services cover many of today’s hot areas such as cloud computing, web services, and mobile applications. We are especially strong in 6 verticals: insurance, financial services, technology, travel, retail, and healthcare/life sciences. In these verticals we have over the years built deep domain knowledge and invested in developing innovative solutions that are particular to these verticals.
Going forward IP and innovation will continue to be our differentiator. Our customers today are seeing great value in our offerings that embed our IP and innovation such as Unified Enterprise Automation Framework, SCORE, AppLabs Infrastructure Management and AppCloud.
By understanding, and embracing our customers' concerns, visions, and goals, over the last ten years, we were able to build relationships that have yielded excellent results. Today many of our customers see us as their strategic partner in testing. This emphasis on innovation, translating into real customer benefits, is finally what has set AppLabs apart as the company that CIOs can depend on.
As we celebrate our 10 years of success, I would like to thank all our customers and partners who have positioned us incredibly well for the future. I am extremely excited about this journey and truly believe the best of AppLabs is yet to come.
In this issue of perspective we have an article on Strategic TCoE and SCORE that was published in the - TEST Magazine. We also feature a story that was published in the Banking Technology News - Application Testing Gets a Pass Port. In the Technical Insights section we bring you a white paper on Data Discovery Services and Validation opportunities in Translational Medicine and the second piece in this section is about Test Process Improvement. The Newsletter also carries our usual columns including Company News, AppLabs in the News and Webinars. The case study section features three new case studies – ESRI, VIMIX and MERU.
If you'd like to share something with me, or have any questions or comments, I look forward to hearing it. You can write to me directly at sashir@applabs.com.
Best wishes,
