CSR Update

The AppLabs Charitable Trust (ACT) continues to continue with initiatives such as collaboration with Project 511, a Non-Governmental Organization to teach spoken English in 174 government schools. The project aims to enhance the capacity of the government schools both in terms of infrastructure to accommodate more children and improve the quality of education.

The ACT team has also visited the Sphoorthi Foundation on May 30th to make donations. Sphoorthi is a Telugu word, meaning motivation and the foundation supports children in the Hyderabad region to improve their quality of life.

Most recently, ACT has been involved in promoting road safety in collaboration with the Traffic Police Department of Hyderabad. AppLabs employees assisted in educating passing commuters on key road safety traffic rules at four major junctions of the city more+

AppLabs CEO speaks at Forbes CEO Europe Forum

Makarand Teje, President and CEO of AppLabs spoke at this event in Cannes, France 9-10 June. The theme of the conference was Reform, Renewal or Rupture? From global trade to environmental protection, from illegal migration to international security; all these were discussed and debated at the conference. Mak was a member of the panel entitled ‘Global Talent Pool’. The discussion looked at the shrinking talent pool within the EU and the likelihood of companies looking beyond their own borders to boost their workforce.

AppLabs named as one of the nation’s “50 Fastest-Growing Asian American Businesses”

AppLabs has been named by the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation as one of its 50 Fastest-Growing Asian American Businesses. The official announcement was made during the 23rd Anniversary CelebrAsian ‘08 Annual National Business Opportunity Conference and a special presentation took place at The White House, Washington D.C. more+

AppLabs presents at UKCMG Annual Conference 2008

Gary Wilson, Service Architect for AppLabs spoke on the first day of the conference in Northamptonshire, UK, May 19. His presentation was entitled 'Introduction to Performance Testing' which was aimed at senior testing professionals. Gary looked at why it is important to performance test, the implications of not doing and how to execute successsful performance testing.
