Managed Testing Service for a Stock Exchange Trading Platform

The client is one of the leading stock exchanges in the USA. As the most diversified financial marketplace, the client’s advanced centralized specialist system offers trading in a basket of products which includes equities, exchange traded funds (ETFs) and derivative products (options and other complex financial instruments). Due to regulatory and statutory changes the client had to upgrade its existing trading platform, which was developed by a third party software development company.

As the trading platform is very critical for business, the client was looking for an independent third party quality assurance expert who could help ensure the reliability and robustness of the platform. Since July 2005, AppLabs has been offering testing and QA services to the client on its highly complex trading system. The scope of this engagement encompasses thorough testing of the new trading platform including; Functional, Regression, Unit, Integration, UAT and Interface testing phases.
