What We Test
For the purposes of testing, Centera applications are divided into the following market segments: Email Archiving, Enterprise Content Management (ECM), Medical Imaging, Database Archiving, Desktop Backup, Voice Archiving, Gateways/File System Archiving(FSA), Mainframe, Information Classification and Security Information Management. Some of the test cases and procedures described in the Test Plan do not apply to some of the market segments.
Process
Step 1. Let Us Know You're Interested
Initiate the process by providing information about your product and your company at our certification portal. We will then contact you to request basic company and contact information, as well as product information such as name/version, SDK version and your target market.
Step 2. Administrative and Technical Preparation
This step consists of establishing the relationship between your company and AppLabs by way of a Master Testing Agreement and a Purchase Order which will cover the test fee. In addition, the AppLabs Test Lead will communicate with you to determine hardware, software and connectivity requirements for testing.
Step 3. Test Execution and Beyond
We will work with your team to conduct the test remotely from our Centera Proven Lab. This test takes approximately 1 week. Upon completion, we will send you the results of the test and EMC will follow up with you about your new EMC Centera Proven marketing benefits.
Pricing
The basic test fee for each Centera Proven test is $4,000 US. There may be an additional fee for products with a non-English application interface language. Please ask for details during the registration process, if applicable.
Applications that are registered for re-testing after initially failing the Centera Proven testing will be charged a fee to be determined by AppLabs based on the amount of work involved.
