Cisco CCX Program Fees & Pricing
Testing Fee Schedule
This page outlines the various factors that go in to the price of the interoperability testing for the Cisco Compatible Extensions Program (CCX) as offered by AppLabs. Pricing is based on the number of test configurations. All pricing and examples are based on all devices and components being submitted and tested at the same time. Any additional submissions will be priced and treated separately requiring unique product registrations with AppLabs. Verification testing must be performed for each silicon reference design you use.
Pricing:
Pricing is based on the number of test configurations required including the number of form factors, bands, operating systems and/or Application Specific Device (ASD) to be tested. Operating systems available are: Windows 2000, 2003, XP, NT 4, ME, 98, PPC, and CE.Net as well as Linux, Mac OS9, Mac OS10, and Palm OS platforms. Where available, you may select the client or server version of an operating system.
Each registration will receive a custom quote based on the above factors.
* CCX 4.0 pricing effective January 1, 2007 and reflects increased scope of test plan. Unique products and conditions that require additional testing beyond the established time frames will require additional fees to be paid. Cisco Compatible Extensions Program Members are required to provide any special or unique hardware and/or software required to perform the interoperability testing of the product. Participants are required to resolve any issues, problems, or potential failures discovered during product interoperability testing within 30-days from being notified by AppLabs.Payment Arrangements:

Scheduling Product Testing:
Participants are scheduled on a "first come, first served" basis. Scheduling is based on available and open dates for testing and are subject to change on a daily basis. Please be aware that AppLabs cannot schedule your product for testing in the lab until product registration and payment of the appropriate testing fees have both occurred. When registering your product for compliance testing, you will be given the opportunity to specify a preferred and alternate testing date. AppLabs will attempt to accommodate all reasonable requests. If you have a special need or circumstance, please note this in your product registration.
CCX 2.0 participation requires Cisco prior approval. CCX 3.0 participants are typically scheduled for 5 business days for the minimum required test, plan accordingly. Please be aware and prepared that CCX 4.0 testing requires more time and hardware than previous versions. When testing schedule confirmation is sent, it will include time frame and equipment requirements (multiple laptops, form factors, ASDs, etc.). Equipment must arrive at AppLabs in a functional condition with the necessary drivers and utilities already installed no less than 1 week prior to testing start date. Failure to do so will result in a reschedule of testing and the subsequent assessment of a rescheduling fee. A setup fee of $1500 will be charged if the AppLabs engineers are required to install any drivers, software, or integrated wireless modules in order to start testing. If you have any questions regarding these requirements, please contact AppLabs at ccx@applabs.com
The submission contact for your company will be contacted by email with confirmation of reserved testing dates. Once your product is scheduled to enter testing, AppLabs will reserve these dates for you and make the necessary engineering and hardware reservations to ensure the lab is ready for your product. If for whatever reason you need to change a confirmed date, we now require at least 10 business days advance notice of cancellation by sending email to: ccx@applabs.com Cancellations that occur with less than 10 business days notice will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the testing fee in addition to the required testing fee remitted.
Product Re-testing:
Products will need to be re-tested for interoperability under the following conditions to maintain their current verification:
- Cisco updates the compliance specification.
- Product undergoes significant feature, functionality, or enhancement changes to the product.
